Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Joann, and I’m a wife and mother of three. This website is all about healthy recipes and tips on how you too can start eating healthy today. It is also a personal project that’s very close to my heart.
Two years ago, the worst happened: I lost my dad to a sudden heart-attack. After years of eating the wrong things, it finally caught up to him. It was one of the worst times of my life, but it also served as a wake-up call for me. After all, the food that I grew up on was the same kind of food that contributed to his passing. Most of these same foods I have prepared and fed to my own family.
My father’s passing woke me up to the fact that I needed to make a change for myself and my family. I vowed to eat healthy from that point on and to promote a new and healthy lifestyle to not only my kids and husband but also to the world.
After doing much research on the subject, I believe that you truly are what you eat. It wasn’t like my dad’s heart attack was random. Your diet has so much to do with the way you feel everyday and the different diseases that plague so many people. By changing your diet, you can avoid diseases like heart disease, heart attacks, and high blood pressure.
These ideas are what influenced me in building this website. There’s a reason why “you are what you eat” is such a popular saying – because it’s true. Everything you eat has an effect on your body. It’s up to you to provide clean, healthy and natural foods to yourself and your family. Sometimes it can be hard to know where to start; that’s where I come in. Hopefully, you will find this website to be a wealth of information. You can find simple and delicious meal recipes that will give you all the nutrients you need for a healthy diet. These are recipes that I have come across in my own research, and I have tweaked them slightly to suit my own tastes – feel free to do the same! These are also the meals that I now feed to my own family, so you know that they are kid-approved!
